When the dance band finished their go in Japan, both Cawley and Hart left in 1990 afterward existence unable to handle the stresses of touring. Bach and Palacios asked to be freed of their Enigma contract, requesting a more than Christian tag. They would be released later that twelvemonth, and vocaliser Jamie Rowe and drummer Karl Ney would be added around that same time. The fresh card began to phonograph recording, finally cathartic their first album on their new Pakaderm tag, Fire and Love, in 1991. The response to the album was overwhelming, and the video filmed for their hit "Great power of Love" was added to MTV's Headbangers Ball. DreamWorks could find separate distribution deal

Steven Spielberg is "very likely" to close a deal soon for at least half of the $1 billion he wants to resurrect DreamWorks as a private company from the diversified Indian conglomerate Reliance ADA.

DreamWorks, which is operated by Paramount, may eventually strike a movie distribution deal with another studio once Spielberg secures financing. The Hollywood Reporter first reported Spielberg's search for a mix of equity capital and bank financing, as well as DreamWorks' search for a possible new distribution deal, on June 10.

A well-placed source said that the likely Indian deal could be consummated any time now, but the source added that there was a chance other suitors still could prevail in reaching an equity relationship with Spielberg.

Reliance's entertainment interests include India's largest theatrical chain Adlabs Cinemas, film production, animation, gaming, music and video distribution and FM radio among other ventures controlled via subsidiary Reliance Big Entertainment.

LYFE JENNINGS

Lyfe Change (Columbia): A-

In a sea of generic, sleazeball r&b, Jennings warrants a category all his own. His third effort features earthy production and well-timed guest spots from Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg and T.I., but the real strength is his raspy-voiced honesty and insight. Countless r&b artists happily confine themselves to overworked themes of sex and materialism, but Jennings eschews explicit content to tackle real-life situations involving love, loss, family and the AIDS epidemic. You get the distinct feeling that his decade behind bars prior to stardom helped him realize the value of freedom and gave him the determination to make full use of it. Download: “Warriors.”

Delta takes America

IT'S taken several years, a new record company and lots of hard work, but Delta Goodrem is finally being heard loud and clear in the crowded American music market.
And just a month out from the US release of her self-titled hit album, the noise surrounding the Sydney singer could not be better. Touted as "the biggest thing to come out of Australia's music scene since Olivia Newton-John", Goodrem was selected to flaunt her new-found profile for the cover of Vegas magazine's fifth anniversary edition and will headline the title's extravagant birthday bash this weekend. Posing in a sexy cowgirl outfit, Goodrem joins world-famous beauties Giselle Bundchen, Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria as a Vegas covergirl, ahead of her scheduled performance in front of Hollywood's elite at leading hotel The Palazzo on Saturday night. Signing with major US label Mercury four months ago is paying dividends for the persistent performer, who is being championed by powerful former Sony honcho David Massey. And according to music industry bible Billboard, Massey "means business" with project Delta force. "Oz chart topper In This Life is an ideal vehicle to fuel horsepower ... showcasing a vocal that illustrates incomparable prowess - not to mention Goodrem's media-friendly persona," a Billboard critic raved about the singer last month. "The world knows Delta on a first time basis. It's high time America got with the program."
